Direct Connection

Turn on Screen Sharing and sign in.

Fullframe speaks the Screen Sharing protocol already built into macOS. Nothing needs to be installed on your Mac, and no Fullframe server sits between your devices. Connect straight across your local network, or link Tailscale to reach your tailnet Macs away from your desk.

  • Sign in with your existing Mac account
  • Automatic discovery of Macs on your Tailscale tailnet
  • Wake sleeping Macs over Wake-on-LAN
  • Unlock FileVault after restart on Apple silicon macOS 26+

Picture & Audio

Shaped to fit your screen edge to edge.

Instead of squeezing a desktop monitor into black bars, Fullframe creates a virtual display proportioned to your iPhone or iPad. On Apple silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later, High Performance mode delivers responsive, crisp colour and streams Mac audio straight to your device.

  • Choose Retina or More Space display sizing
  • Mac audio plays directly through your device
  • Standard mode for older Macs and slower links
  • Mac display blanks automatically during High Performance sessions

Touch & Keyboard

Input that feels native to macOS.

Tap directly on controls or switch to an on-screen trackpad for pixel-accurate work. Scroll and right-click with two fingers, swipe between Spaces with three, and hover with Apple Pencil to move the pointer. Connect a hardware keyboard and system shortcuts pass straight to macOS.

  • Mac key row with Command, Option, Control, Esc and arrows
  • Hardware keyboard passthrough for Command-Tab and Command-Space
  • Two-finger right-click, two-finger scroll and three-finger Spaces swipe
  • Apple Pencil hover moves the Mac cursor

Focused Workspace

Run one Mac app at a time.

Overlapping desktop windows can get cramped on a smaller screen. Fullframe lets you open a single Mac app full screen and step cleanly between running apps with a three-finger swipe, matching the rhythm of a MacBook trackpad.

  • Give a single Mac app your entire display
  • Swipe with three fingers to switch open apps
  • Add Fullframe for Mac for instant app launching

Files & Clipboard

Move files, text and images both ways.

Copy a snippet or screenshot on one device and paste it on the other. Drop files from your iPhone or iPad straight into your Mac's Downloads folder, or pull whatever you have selected in Finder right into the Files app.

  • Two-way clipboard for text and pictures
  • Password manager clipboard items are never synced
  • Send local files straight to Mac Downloads
  • Bring your current Finder selection back to Files

Dock Mode

Plug into an external monitor and work.

Connect your iPhone or iPad to a desk display and Fullframe puts your Mac full screen on the monitor. Your device becomes a dedicated Mac trackpad and keyboard in your hands, turning a spare monitor into a Mac workstation.

  • Mac fills the connected external display
  • Your iPhone or iPad acts as trackpad and keyboard
  • Keep full gesture and modifier key control

Everyday Tools

Ready for quick checks and long sessions.

Keep an eye on a coding agent in Picture in Picture, run a shell command through the built-in Remote Login terminal, or launch favourite Macs from a Home Screen widget. Passwords stay in your Keychain behind Face ID.

  • Terminal built on macOS Remote Login
  • Save Mac screenshots to Photos or record video
  • Widgets, Shortcuts, Live Activity and Picture in Picture
  • Optional automatic Mac screen lock on disconnect

iPhone Duo

Fold iPhone Duo into a miniature MacBook.

Fullframe treats the hinge on iPhone Duo as part of the workspace. Set it on a table to type with a full Mac key layout and trackpad, hold it like a notebook with controls split cleanly at the crease, or check in one-handed when folded shut.

  • LaptopYour Mac fills the raised top half while the flat half becomes a MacBook-style keyboard with a function row or live Touch Bar alongside a multi-touch trackpad.
  • BookHold iPhone Duo open vertically to split your Mac desktop and touch controls neatly across the fold without covering what you are reading.
  • ClosedUse the outer display like a standard iPhone for quick builds, terminal checks, Picture in Picture monitoring and full touch gestures.

Optional · Fullframe for Mac

Go further with Fullframe for Mac.

Core Screen Sharing works with zero software added to macOS. When you want deeper app integration, run the optional Fullframe for Mac companion in your menu bar.

Coming soon as a separate download.

  • Open a chosen Mac app into full screen in a single tap
  • Bring your Mac's contextual Touch Bar onto your iPhone or iPhone Duo

Privacy

Private by architecture.

Fullframe collects no personal data, runs no analytics and includes no tracking code. Sessions travel directly between your devices over your local network or your own Tailscale tailnet. Credentials live in your Apple Keychain behind Face ID, password manager clipboard entries stay local, and saved Mac addresses sync across your devices through your personal iCloud account.

Questions

Before you connect.

Do I need to install anything on my Mac?

No. Fullframe connects to the Screen Sharing service already built into macOS. Turn on Screen Sharing in System Settings and sign in with your Mac user account. The Fullframe for Mac menu-bar app is optional and adds the app launcher and Touch Bar.

Which Macs support High Performance mode?

Apple's High Performance mode requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. For Intel Macs, older macOS releases, or constrained network connections, Fullframe includes Standard mode.

How do I connect when I am away from home or the office?

Link Fullframe with Tailscale. Once connected to your tailnet, Fullframe discovers your Tailscale Macs automatically and connects directly over your encrypted Tailscale network without port forwarding or a relay account.

Can people near my Mac see what I am doing?

During a High Performance session, your Mac's physical display is blanked so passers-by cannot watch your work. You can also set Fullframe to lock your Mac automatically whenever you disconnect.

Can I restart a FileVault-encrypted Mac remotely?

Yes, on Apple silicon Macs running macOS 26 or later with Remote Login enabled. Fullframe can unlock FileVault after a reboot so macOS finishes starting up and Screen Sharing comes back online.

Can I test Fullframe before setting up my Mac?

Yes. On the Macs screen, open the More menu and choose Try a Demo to open an interactive demo session and explore touch gestures, the keyboard layout and iPhone Duo poses straight away.

Put your Mac in your pocket.

Connect in seconds using the Screen Sharing already on your Mac, or explore the built-in demo session right away.
